Role Overview This position involves providing direct patient care within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center, focusing on cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. The role emphasizes patient safety, education, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients' families. It requires critical assessment of physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, ensuring compliance with professional standards and promoting quality and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management and post-treatment needs.Participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities.Develop and document care plans with clear goals, ensuring effective communication across care teams.Assess patient needs, values, and barriers, considering cultural, emotional, and spiritual factors.Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices. Qualifications & Skills Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree, RN license.No prior experience required; preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's in Nursing with at least 2 years of experience.Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex surgical environment with world-renowned staff and technology.
