Clinical Nurse Manager – Advanced Practice
About the role
NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking two Clinical Nurse Managers – Advanced Practice to lead and develop the Acute Care Advanced Practice Team. The role involves managing and developing a group of high-performing Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Support Workers across various clinical areas.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the effective and efficient operational management of a group of high-performing Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Support Workers.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams across NHS Ayrshire and Arran, including being flexible in working shifts as required.
- Lead and develop the Acute Care Advanced Practice Team with a focus on quality and safety, and be a change agent in transforming care.
- Provide competent advanced clinical practice and leadership, support, and advice to clinical staff.
- Contribute to the development of current practice and new ways of working while maintaining a patient focus.
Requirements
- Current NMC registration and Pg. Dip Advanced Practice (or equivalent specialised qualification).
- Experience of working in an acute care environment at an advanced level.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and develop excellent team working skills.
- Able to contribute to the development of current practice, act as a change agent, and educate others.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

As a permanent position, this role offers competitive pay and a flexible schedule of 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with variable start and finish times agreed with the successful candidate upon employment.
