About the role
Assumes first line leadership responsibility and accountability for managing the delivery of patient care on an assigned unit. Facilitates efficient and cost-effective daily operations of the unit(s) in relation to patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Promotes a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the implementation of established standards, protocols, policies and procedures. Participates in the establishment of unit(s) short- and long-term goals and ensures its alignment with the hospital’s overall strategic goals. Monitors staff compliance with regulatory, hospital and divisional requirements.
Responsibilities

- Promote a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the implementation of established standards, protocols, policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Patient Care Director to establish unit(s) short- and long-term goals and ensure alignment with the hospital’s strategic goals.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, hospital and divisional requirements.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience as charge nurse or supervisor.
- Masters in Nursing.
- Previous acute care experience.
Qualifications
- NYS RN license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- BCLS.
- Demonstrates affective interpersonal communication.
- Demonstrates understanding of customer service principles.
- Clinical expertise within field or specialty.

$145,000 - $168,000/Annual
