The Clinical Nurse Manager assumes first-line leadership responsibility and accountability for managing the delivery of patient care on an assigned Bone Marrow Transplant unit.

Facilitate efficient and cost-effective daily operations, including patient throughput such as admissions, discharges, and transfers. Promote a culture of safety and quality by ensuring continuity and consistency in the implementation of established standards, protocols, policies, and procedures. In collaboration with the Patient Care Director, participate in establishing unit short- and long-term goals aligned with the hospital’s overall strategic goals. Monitor staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements.

This is a full-time night position at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia Presbyterian.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of patient care on the Bone Marrow Transplant unit.
• Oversee daily operations, including admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure efficient patient throughput.
• Promote a culture of safety and quality by implementing and maintaining established standards, protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Patient Care Director to establish and align unit goals with the hospital’s strategic objectives.
• Monitor and ensure staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements.

Requirements

• NYS RN license.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Demonstrated affective interpersonal communication skills.
• Understanding of customer service principles.
• Clinical expertise within the field or specialty.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience as a charge nurse or supervisor.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• Previous acute care experience.

Pay

Salary Range: $145,000 - $168,000/Annual.

Compensation packages include competitive base pay and benefits.
