About This Unit 2 South

• 38-bed inpatient unit with both private and semi-private rooms
• Provides high-quality nursing care for patients with pulmonary, hospice, oncology/hematology, and general medical diagnoses
• Encourages family involvement as an important part of the healing and care experience
• All staff members complete hospital and unit-specific orientations, including demonstrations of unit-specific and core clinical competencies
• Registered nurses follow established chemotherapy administration guidelines
• Successful completion of a Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration course within one year of employment is required

Scope of Work

The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall management of assigned units and services. This role provides leadership and oversight of patient care staff to support a culture of excellence in clinical practice, staff engagement, recruitment and retention, and strong clinical and operational outcomes. The Nurse Manager ensures the safe and effective delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, administrative, and clinical standards, as well as organizational policies and procedures. They serve as a key advocate for safety and retention, leveraging data, technology, and evidence-based practices to drive decision-making and proactively mitigate risk. This role fosters a desirable and supportive work environment that enables staff and the organization to meet or exceed strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience
• Mi Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• One year of formal nursing leadership experience (external candidates)
• PREFERRED: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Two years of demonstrated informal leadership experience for internal candidates, which may include roles such as Charge Nurse, Lead Nurse, or participation in Shared Governance Councils
• ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy (ONCC)
