Responsibilities
- Documents medications given appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Facilitates, implements, and evaluates the Patient Plan of Care and outcomes in collaboration with the health care team.
- Demonstrates appropriate clinical skills and technical competence in providing patient care.
- Demonstrates appropriate clinical judgment.
- Documents patient assessments accurately and correctly within the specified time at admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Assesses patient safety facts and identifies those patients requiring specific safety devices.
- Evaluates test results in a timely manner and notifies physician.
- Reports critical values immediately.
- Assesses educational needs and documents appropriately.
- Provides appropriate written and verbal instruction.
- Transcribes orders accurately and timely.
- Prioritizes responsibilities and issues, taking into account urgency and patient needs.
- Sets appropriate resources.
- Uses independent thinking and problem solving.
- Collections adequate and correct blood/urine specimens from patients as ordered by physicians, using proper technique and equipment.
- Correctly labels specimens and processes.
- Ensures appropriate delivery of specimens to the lab via courier or specimen pick up from outside agencies.
Requirements
- Competencies: Clear Communication Skills (both written and verbal), ability to keep confidential information regarding patients, team members, and customers, skills to provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors, knowledge and experience with electronic health records, and essential RN - Registered Nurse credentials including BLS - Basic Life Saving certification (American Heart Association).
- Education: RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program Entry.
- Pay: USD $36.20/Hr. Max USD $59.73/Hr.
