Responsibilities

• Applies nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care.
• Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies.
• Accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others who are under her/his direction) and for the delivery of care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing.
• Provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes.
• Supports service excellence and a healing environment.
• Physical requirements: Medium work – requires standing the majority of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently; work involves sitting, kneeling, climbing and squatting.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Experience: Must have recent Level III NICU experience.
• License/Certifications: Registered Nurse License - California Board of Registered Nursing; Basic Life Support - American Heart Association; Neonatal Resuscitation Program - American Academy of Pediatrics.
• Ages of patients served: This position will serve all age groups one year of age or greater.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to communicate in English and to perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately.

Pay

Salary Range: $93.87 - $122.62 USD Hour

Schedule

Work Shift: Evening, 8 hours. FTE 0, Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours 0.
