Clinical Nurse II - NBMC Emergency Department (Full Time, Night 7p-7a)

Provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to patients following Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care model, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all assigned patients. Use therapeutic professional relationships with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to promote, maintain, and restore health.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate patient health outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing; BSN or higher required (excludes grandfathered employees).
• Valid, current, and unencumbered RN license by the State of California.
• Current AHA or AHA-equivalent BLS and ACLS certification.
• Telemetry certification within 3 months of employment.
• PALS or ENPC within six months of employment.
• TNCC or ATCN certification within one year of employment.
• CEN, CPEN, or TCRN preferred.
• Minimum of six months acute care RN experience required.
• One-year RN experience as an emergency transport nurse is equivalent to six months of acute care experience.
• One year of ED RN experience preferred.
• Competent in providing skilled registered nursing care to emergent and trauma patients.
• Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
• All RNs in the Patient Care Services Department are required to wear Graphite (Dark Gray) colored scrubs per the professional appearance policy.

• 36 hours weekly
• 12-hour shifts

Pay

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role.

Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.
