About the role
The Clinical Nurse at El Camino Health is responsible for applying the nursing process and theories to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, evaluate, and modify patient care. This role requires collaboration with other healthcare disciplines to deliver optimal, individualized patient care.
Responsibilities
- Applies nursing theories and processes to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Ensures compliance with the ANA Code of Ethics and ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing
- Provides care in a collaborative manner with other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Three (3) years' experience in cardiac cath lab, interventional radiology, critical care, or peri-operative settings
- Experience with moderate sedation
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse License - California Board of Registered Nursing
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association
Skills
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks

Schedule
Mixed schedule, typically 80 scheduled bi-weekly hours, with shifts ranging from 10 hours per day.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Medium work - Requires standing most of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently. Sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting are also involved.
