About the Role

As a Chemotherapy Field Nurse at NewYork-Presbyterian, you will float to inpatient units to administer chemotherapy to patients. In this autonomous role, you will serve as a resource for patients, their families, and other staff nurses, providing education and support. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient health and outcomes, contributing to groundbreaking oncology care.

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy to patients in inpatient units.
  • Serve as a resource and educator for patients, families, and nursing colleagues.
  • Manage symptoms and support patients throughout their treatment.
  • Participate in shared clinical decision-making and contribute to patient outcomes.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.

Requirements

  • At least one year of acute care RN experience in oncology.
  • At least two years of experience in administering chemotherapy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
  • BCLS certification.

Preferred: Oncology Nursing Certification.

Pay

Salary Range: $129,681 - $141,006/Annual.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with options for either 3 shifts of 12 hours or 4 shifts of 10 hours. Weekends may be required based on scheduling.

All roles require on-site presence, and employees should live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian.
