About the role
The 22-bed, state-of-the-art inpatient Medical Oncology unit at Hoag Irvine is seeking nurses passionate about oncology care.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate inpatient oncology nursing care
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications following ONS standards
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nurse navigators, social work, palliative care, and case management
- Educate patients and families and support transitions of care, including palliative and hospice services
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and uphold departmental and hospital standards
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 1 year of high-acuity inpatient nursing experience
- Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Provider Card (or willingness to obtain)
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) EKG competency
- BSN (or active enrollment per Hoag policy)
Qualifications
Nurses with preferred oncology experience are encouraged to apply.
