About the Role
Provides direct patient care in a high-risk cardiology unit, focusing on patients with myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, and pulmonary hypertension. Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care within established nursing standards.
Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
- Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients/families.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.
- Maintain safety-sensitive responsibilities, working in a constant state of alertness.
Requirements
- Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
- No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred if applicable.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills.
