Clinical Nurse - General Medicine (Full-Time Nights)

About the role

This clinical nurse position involves providing direct patient care on an 18-bed Medical/Surgical unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and participation in safety and quality initiatives. Nurses develop and document individualized care plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and utilize critical thinking skills to address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. The position promotes professional growth through participation in development activities and adherence to standards of nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessments, education, and support.
• Develop, implement, and communicate individualized care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety, and professional development activities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Experience is not mandatory, but 2+ years of nursing experience is a plus.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety at all times.
