Clinical Nurse Educator-Women's/Children's
About the role
The Clinical Nurse Educator is a registered nurse responsible for assessing, planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the educational needs of Nursing (Critical Care, Emergency Services, Maternal Child, and Perioperative).
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate the educational needs of nursing staff within Critical Care, Emergency Services, Maternal Child, and Perioperative units.
- Develop and implement educational programs tailored to meet the needs of nursing staff.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of educational initiatives into clinical practice.
- Provide ongoing support and resources to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in the development and implementation of nursing education policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a Bachelor's Degree.
- A Masters Degree in Nursing preferred, consideration may be given to individuals in active pursuit of a Masters Degree.
- Licensed registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- A minimum of three to five years in nursing specialty.
- Certification in nursing specialty (AACN) preferred.
