Clinical Nurse Educator-Women's/Children's

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Educator is a registered nurse responsible for assessing, planning, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the educational needs of Nursing (Critical Care, Emergency Services, Maternal Child, and Perioperative).

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the educational needs of nursing staff within Critical Care, Emergency Services, Maternal Child, and Perioperative units.
• Develop and implement educational programs tailored to meet the needs of nursing staff.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of educational initiatives into clinical practice.
• Provide ongoing support and resources to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Participate in the development and implementation of nursing education policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a Bachelor's Degree.
• A Masters Degree in Nursing preferred, consideration may be given to individuals in active pursuit of a Masters Degree.
• Licensed registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• A minimum of three to five years in nursing specialty.
• Certification in nursing specialty (AACN) preferred.
