About the role
This position will support the Coastal Region (Brunswick, Rockport, Belfast and Damariscotta). The Department of Nursing Academics at MaineHealth is currently seeking a Per-Diem Clinical Nurse Educator - Faculty.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within the healthcare system to support the undergraduate academic Nursing Programs.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships within the clinical practice settings.
- Provide opportunities for students to meet the student learning outcomes through provisions of assigned clinical instruction and student assessment and evaluation.
- Assist by providing feedback for undergraduate Nursing program curriculum development and assist with the implementation of the systematic clinical evaluation plans set forth by the undergraduate Nursing programs.
- Facilitate clinical learning opportunities for nursing students, to achieve learning outcomes necessary to fulfill the academic Nursing program requirements and be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or a BSN Degree matriculating into a Master’s Degree upon hire required.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Certification in Nursing Education and/or Nursing Professional Development preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Experience: Two years of clinical experience required. Experience in classroom and clinical teaching associated with specialty specific setting preferred. Experience as a clinical instructor for nursing students preferred.

- Must be able to work flexible hours including day, evening and weekend commitments based on school/unit availability.
