About the role
This position will support the Coastal Region (Brunswick, Rockport, Belfast and Damariscotta). The Department of Nursing Academics at MaineHealth is currently seeking a Per-Diem Clinical Nurse Educator - Faculty.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within the healthcare system to support the undergraduate academic Nursing Programs.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships within the clinical practice settings.
- Provide opportunities for students to meet the student learning outcomes through provisions of assigned clinical instruction and student assessment and evaluation.
- Aid in the development and implementation of the systematic clinical evaluation plans set forth by the undergraduate Nursing programs.
- Facilitate clinical learning opportunities for nursing students to fulfill academic nursing program requirements and to be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or a BSN Degree matriculating into a Master’s Degree upon hire required.
- Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
- Certification in Nursing Education and/or Nursing Professional Development preferred.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Two years of clinical experience required.
- Experience in classroom and clinical teaching associated with specialty specific setting preferred.
- Experience as a clinical instructor for nursing students preferred.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or a BSN Degree matriculating into a Master’s Degree upon hire required.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
