About the Role

Designs curricula, develops programs of study, guides learners, and evaluates learning outcomes. Incorporates principles of adult learning in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, prepares, and maintains materials for educational programs, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience.
  • Assists students and practicing nurses in identifying learning needs, strengths, and opportunities.
  • Coordinates orientation of new staff, including agency personnel, into the organization.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming and adjusts content and teaching strategies based on learner needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
  • Master's of Nursing [Preferred]
  • 1+ education experience in acute care or academic setting [Required]
  • 5+ experience in nursing education [Preferred]
  • 5+ years nursing experience [Preferred]
  • Experience in Nursing Research [Preferred]
  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]

Skills

  • Knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures as applied to the care of the patient population served.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, methods of education delivery, and ability to facilitate learners' achievement of the education objective.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new software programs.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to make realistic and practical recommendations for problem-solving.
  • Demonstrates a professional, committed, and dynamic role model.
  • Strong presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to delivering exceptional care to create an unmatched value proposition for clinicians and patients.
  • Ability to build trust and act with authenticity to cultivate a culture of integrity, inclusion, and mutual respect.
  • Ability to make timely, informed decisions that are in the best interest of patients, employees, providers, community, and the organization.

  • Ability to use independent judgment and decision-making in the execution of supervisory responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of the appropriate accrediting body.
  • Experience with Database Management System.
  • Nursing research background.
