About the Role
Designs curricula, develops programs of study, guides learners, and evaluates learning outcomes. Incorporates principles of adult learning in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs.
Responsibilities
- Plans, prepares, and maintains materials for educational programs, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience.
- Assists students and practicing nurses in identifying learning needs, strengths, and opportunities.
- Coordinates orientation of new staff, including agency personnel, into the organization.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming and adjusts content and teaching strategies based on learner needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
- Master's of Nursing [Preferred]
- 1+ education experience in acute care or academic setting [Required]
- 5+ experience in nursing education [Preferred]
- 5+ years nursing experience [Preferred]
- Experience in Nursing Research [Preferred]
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
Skills
- Knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures as applied to the care of the patient population served.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, methods of education delivery, and ability to facilitate learners' achievement of the education objective.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new software programs.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to make realistic and practical recommendations for problem-solving.
- Demonstrates a professional, committed, and dynamic role model.
- Strong presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
