Job Summary
You will be a vital contributor to the planning, coordination, and delivery of essential healthcare-related educational and training programs. Every day you will actively assist in scheduling and conducting diverse healthcare training programs. You will also provide direct coordination and/or instruction in various educational initiatives, ensuring effective learning experiences for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Active assistance in scheduling and conducting diverse healthcare training programs.
- Direct coordination and/or instruction in various educational initiatives.
- Greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously.
- Referring to individuals by name when appropriate.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the hospital's environment of care plans and programs.
- Responding appropriately to all safety and emergency signals and notifications.
- Demonstrating knowledge of State and Federal Regulations and JCAHO guidelines.
- Demonstrating sensitivity to the customer's learning history and needs.
- Identifying barriers to learning and making appropriate and sensitive adjustments accordingly.
- Completing and documenting a lesson plan based on assessments, focusing on all domains of learning.
- Performing ongoing assessment as indicated.
Requirements
- Five (5) years recent related experience in the clinical area.
- Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire and Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
- PREFERRED: Bachelors Other Education, Nursing or related field and Education or instructor experience in the clinical area, upon hire.
- PREFERRED: Masters Of Science Nursing, upon hire.
- PREFERRED: Basic Life Support Instructor, upon hire or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire.
