About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, you’ll ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will serve as a resource for staff and model the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Operationalize nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
- Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Recommend and implement actions such as training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of applicable leadership/charge nurse experience in Pediatric critical care/cardiac ICU.
