Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Med/Surg/Tele

Role Overview: The Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Med/Surg/Tele provides leadership and clinical expertise to facilitate unit operations, ensuring quality patient care. They act as a resource for staff, communicate effectively, coordinate admissions and discharges, and oversee staffing assignments based on patient acuity and census. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and delegate nursing tasks, supervise staff, and manage unit coverage.Conduct patient rounds, monitor conditions, and facilitate timely transfers and discharges.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit committees.Assist with staff orientation, evaluate performance, and provide feedback.Manage unit activities during emergencies and communicate with multidisciplinary teams.Support problem-solving and resolve patient care issues, ensuring smooth workflow. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an approved nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of two years of nursing experience.Current RN license in Illinois with specialty certification within two years.Strong clinical skills, communication, teaching, and leadership abilities.CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Additional Details: This role involves night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, and may require floating to other units.
