About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) at Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, you’ll deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, you’ll direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role serves as a resource for staff and models the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participates in ongoing assessment of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Operationalizes nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
- Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Recommends and implements courses of action for training, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current and active Nevada RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital Emergency Room RN experience (3 years preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of Charge/Relief Charge/Nursing leadership experience highly desirable.
