Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Adult Psychiatry - Day and Evening Shifts

Role: Clinical Nurse Coordinator, a Registered Nurse responsible for facilitating unit operations, providing clinical expertise, and supporting staff. Coordinate, delegate, communicate, and address clinical and operational issues effectively.Serve as a resource for nursing and medical staff, assisting with patient care and unit management.Collaborate with admitting, bed management, and other departments to ensure timely admissions and transfers.Conduct patient rounds to monitor conditions and facilitate discharge processes.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staffing planning, ensuring appropriate coverage based on acuity and census.Delegate responsibilities to staff and non-professional team members, providing feedback and counseling.Assist with staff orientation, evaluations, and performance management.Coordinate during codes, disasters, and emergency situations, acting as a resource and leader.Participate in Rapid Response and Stroke Teams, and support patient safety and care quality.Qualifications include a nursing degree (Bachelor preferred), at least 2 years of nursing experience, current RN license in Illinois, and CPR certification.
