Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Adult Psychiatry - Day and Evening Shifts

Role: Clinical Nurse Coordinator responsible for overseeing unit operations, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring quality patient care. Responsibilities include: coordinating staffing and patient assignments, facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges, and participating in patient throughput improvements.Conducting patient rounds, monitoring patient conditions, and acting as a resource for clinical and operational issues.Delegating tasks to nursing and non-professional staff, providing feedback, and participating in staff evaluations.Managing unit coverage, ensuring appropriate staffing based on census and acuity, and orienting new personnel.Leading emergency responses, coordinating with other departments, and reporting significant clinical events.Supporting staff development, acting as a member of rapid response and stroke teams, and assisting in quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications And Skills Registered Nurse with current Illinois license.Graduate of an approved nursing program; Bachelor’s preferred.Minimum two years of staff nursing experience.Specialty board certification within two years of promotion.Effective communication, clinical, teaching, and motivational skills.CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
