Clinical Nurse 1 - Acute Rehab - Nights-FT
About the role
The clinical nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a specific group of assigned patients. This role requires the ability to assess, plan, intervene, and advocate for patients on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement a plan of care for a specific group of assigned patients.
- Absess, plan, intervene, and advocate for patients on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care.
- Evaluate patient outcomes, effectiveness of plan of care, and readiness for discharge and revise plan or make referrals as necessary.
- Act as a role model and mentor to a variety of students and nurses new to the unit.
- Functions as a (PCC) Patient Care Coordinator as requested by the supervisor/manager.
Requirements
Required to float between UCI Health locations as needed. Less than 6 months experience for this new graduate position. Internal candidates must have Associate's Degree in Nursing and a minimum of two years recent UCI work experience and current enrollment in a BSN program with anticipated completion within two years. Current CA RN license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
