Clinical Mentor Extender (RN) -Inova Alexandria Hospital & Inova Mount Vernon Hospital

INPD Instructor Job Responsibilities

• Receive hand-off from clinical mentor at assigned campus with a list of newly hired RNs needing support.
• Support New Graduate Boot Camp for four-hour course provided to all new graduate RNs and international nurses.
• Provide assistance in enhancing communication skills, time management, and providing resources.
• Model Inova’s values and provide ongoing support to new grads.
• Assist with decision-making and prioritization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Two years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant experience serving as a preceptor
• Over two years of recent inpatient RN experience (cardiac/tele preferred)
