About the role

The Clinical Mental Health Professional performs psychosocial assessments, develops and implements care plans, assesses crisis situations, and provides family and individual treatment. This role collaborates with various stakeholders including patients, families, healthcare providers, and community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses and treats various mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, modifying care plans as needed.
  • Refers patients to other services such as community services, treatment programs, support groups, psychiatrists, or other mental health providers.
  • Works with the multi-disciplinary team to develop a discharge plan for further care, services, and referrals.
  • Organizes and prioritizes daily work by assessing new, current, and discharging patient needs.
  • Conducts behavioral health consultations, psychosocial assessments, and provides supportive, crisis, bereavement, and other behavioral health interventions.
  • Educates, communicates, and coordinates with patient care teams and outside agencies to ensure quality care and timely discharges.
  • Supports staff members following adverse events through Employee Assistance Program debriefing.

Requirements

This position requires up to a 60-90 day credentialing process, including successful completion of medical staff office and peer review requirements if working in the behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current State Licensure as LCSW, LMFT, CMHC, or Psychologist.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills, including email and word processing.
