Clinical Medical Assistant

For the second year in a row, Connecticut Orthopaedics has been named the #1 Orthopaedic Physician Practice in Connecticut by Castle Connolly! CT Orthopaedics is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant. This position provides direct support to the physician and clinical teams in a given location in Hamden, CT.

Responsibilities

• Cast application and removal
• Applying and removing wound dressings based on provider preferences
• Participating in staple and suture removal
• Fitting patients with durable medical equipment and braces appropriately and completing billing paperwork accurately
• Rooming patients and completing appropriate intake documentation
• Drawing up and setting up injections/ultrasound per provider's protocol
• Maintaining a clean and stocked exam room
• Entering orders for x‑ray
• Assisting with appointment scheduling for follow‑up appointments
• Assisting with clinical workflow throughout the clinics

Requirements

• Certified as a Medical Assistant
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• 3‑5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience in an orthopaedic practice preferred

Monday – Friday, hours vary 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
