About the Role

The Home Health Manager manages the home health departments including patient care, human resources, operational performance, capital equipment and budgets. Collaborates with the leadership team to ensure system‑wide standards of care, service excellence, and goals and objectives are met. Serves as the Manager of Home Health for the Roanoke region.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Clinical Leaders to implement daily services and supervises clinical care of both business units.
• Manages medical review and reimbursement appeals process.
• May conduct home visits for patient care supervision and staff evaluations.
• Handles complex operational issues of legal and ethical nature.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agency standards and payer reimbursement guidelines.
• Develops and maintains new‑employee strategies, including orientation, in‑service training, and continuing education.
• Mentors employees to grow clinical skills.
• Coordinates educational activities based on patient age groups and needs assessments to maintain staff competencies.
• Develops, implements, and monitors the fiscal budget and capital equipment needs.
• Plans, prioritizes, implements, and evaluates performance‑improvement activities to promote patient safety and quality.
• Arranges and negotiates services through contractual agreements and maintains annual contract credentials.
• Responds to customer and referral source concerns.
• Provides information to third‑party payors and documents necessity of care.
• Ensures accuracy of public informational materials.
• Acts as communication link among physicians, staff, and community programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business, or a related field (or equivalent education).
• Three to five years of health‑care management experience; home health and/or hospice experience preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of current Virginia regulations and Joint Commission accreditation standards.
• Experience managing in a competitive environment.
• Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; analytical business skills; integrity; innovation; teamwork; problem‑solving/conflict‑resolution; customer‑focused philosophy.

Pay

Compensation range: $98,155.20 – $157,040.00 (based on qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience; does not include benefits or pension plan).

Schedule

Full‑time, day shift.
