We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Manager to oversee the daily operations and programs of our mental health facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of mental health administrative support, ensuring that our clinic runs efficiently while adhering to all regulatory program standards. This role is crucial in maintaining high-quality patient care and fostering a positive work environment for our mental healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy to substance abuse clients, based on cutting-edge treatment modalities
- Take the lead in developing and reviewing ongoing care strategies
- Implement high-level crisis interventions and emergency services in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team
- Provide supervisory oversight for SACOT & SAIOP programs, ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Ensure timely submission of all clinical documentation, while maintaining the utmost confidentiality and compliance
- Manage the overall operations of the clinic, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations to promote professional development
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality of care
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care services and improve clinic efficiency
- Oversee scheduling of staff and patient appointments to ensure optimal workflow within the clinic
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with medical terminology standards
- Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly, fostering a positive relationship between patients and staff
- Condition and assess client needs
- Supervise clinical staff providing:
- Individual counseling and support
- Group counseling and support
- Family counseling, training, or support
- Biochemical assays to identify recent drug use (e.g. urine drug screens)
- Strategies for relapse prevention to include community and social support systems in treatment
- Life skills training and development
- Crisis contingency planning
- Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate clients' mental health and substance abuse
- Process Diagnostic Assessments
- Ability to fill in for QP in regards to servicing clients
- Ensure staff attendance and accurate time tracking
- Manage the clinical food budget and operations
- Manage office operations including office supplies and maintenance requests and scheduling
- Coordinate with quality regarding quality and audit reporting
- Manage clinical team, including submitting hire requests via HR, reward/promotion requests, PIPs, and termination requests
Requirements
- Licensed clinical addictions specialist (LCAS) by the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board
- Preferred: Dual Licensure in Substance Abuse (SA) and Mental Health (MH)

SA Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) Program means a periodic service that is a time limited, multi-faceted approach treatment service for adults who require structure and support to achieve and sustain recovery. SACOT Program is a service emphasizing the reduction in the use and abuse of substances and/or continued abstinence, the negative consequences of substance abuse, the development of social support network and necessary lifestyle changes, educational skills, and vocational skills leading to work activity by reducing substance abuse as a barrier to employment, social and interpersonal skills, improved family functioning, the understanding of the addictive disease, and the continued commitment to recovery and maintenance program.
The LCAS is a valuable member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and will attend and/or participate in clinical staffing. The LCAS will provide supervision to staff identified as Qualified Professionals, Associate Professionals, Paraprofessionals, and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors. Case consultations will occur as required per the service definition. The LCAS will conduct DAs and CCAs, provide individual support, as well as facilitate group sessions as needed.
