About the role
The Clinical Liaison is responsible for evaluating patients and determining if they meet admissions criteria. Prepares development plans, conducts calls, and presents to potential referral sources. This position must integrate company values into daily practice.
Responsibilities
- Conducts proper pre-admission patient evaluations in a timely manner.
- Maintains assigned sales territory.
- Develops, implements, evaluates, and refines territory sales plans based upon data, trends, market needs, and facility needs.
- Coordinates specific marketing and public relations activities such as conferences, exhibits, seminars/in-services, advertising, media relations, and government relations as assigned.
- Effectively tracks sales activity, maintains client profiles, and ensures compliance with company’s standards.
- Participates in program development initiatives as assigned.
- Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff; assesses risks for safety and implements appropriate precautions.
- Complies with appropriate and approved safety and infection prevention standards.
- Maintains regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule.
- Completes required trainings, as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization.
Requirements
- 3 years healthcare experience required; healthcare sales experience preferred.
- Current clinical licensure required (RN, RT, LVN, PT, OT, SLP preferred).
- Must maintain valid, acceptable driving record, current driver’s license, and insurability.
Skills
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Understanding of patient mix, regulatory requirements, reimbursement, etc. that impact overall hospital operations.
- High degree of customer service and professionalism.
- General computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and complete complex tasks.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection prevention standards.
- Ability to work independently and maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others at all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements
- A significant amount of standing, sitting, and driving, often for prolonged periods.
- Lifting/exerting of up to 25 lbs.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
- Ability to hear overhead pages.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
