Clinical Lead- Pre/Post - RN

About the role

The Clinical Leader is a collaborative leader of the care team and is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the optimal provision of care through daily management of unit operations as prescribed by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. In addition, the Clinical Leader is accountable to practice in accordance with the standards established/endorsed by Trinity Health leadership and by external regulators and accreditation agencies. The Clinical Leader actively promotes the Trinity Health Model of Care and the nursing profession, in fulfillment of the Trinity Health Quality Plan for Nursing. The Clinical Leader is accountable to drive nursing practice though facilitation of shared governance. The Clinical Leader is expected to abide by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient care is coordinated and effective.
• Facilitate the implementation of evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
• Lead the development and maintenance of policies and procedures that support safe and high-quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to staff members to enhance their professional development.
• Participate in shared governance activities to improve the overall quality of care.
• Advocate for patients and families, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with physicians, allied health professionals, and other departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
• Certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization is preferred.
• Membership in a professional nursing organization is preferred.
