Clinical Lead: Equity, Inclusion and Quality in Medical Education

On 1 April 2026, NSS and NES became one national organisation, focused on continuity today and a stronger, more connected service for tomorrow. As part of this transformation, NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) have joined to form a new organisation: Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland. Hours: 2 PAs (8 hours) Duration: Fixed Term for 3 years in the first instance. Public Services Delivery Scotland is the National Health Board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations. Applications are invited from a Consultant, GP or SAS doctor in a substantive post with significant experience in postgraduate medical education for the role of Clinical Lead for Equity, Inclusion and Quality. The role will provide clinical leadership to advance equity, diversity and inclusion across postgraduate medical education in Scotland, supporting IMGs, addressing differential attainment, and promoting psychologically safe, inclusive training environments through alignment with Deanery Quality Management processes and delivery of GMC standards. The applicants should have a strong understanding of EDI, Quality Management processes, differential attainment and training systems, and previous experience in supporting IMGs and diverse learner groups. They should have the ability to lead strategically and in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and be able to influence across complex systems.
