Role Overview: A Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory testing in a hospital emergency setting, ensuring specimen quality and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Evaluate specimen acceptability based on quality standardsConduct routine and complex testing following departmental protocolsOperate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentationPrepare and assess reagents and controls; document quality proceduresReport test results accurately and promptly to support patient care Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical TechnologyAt least one year of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degreePreferred certifications include ASCP or AMTExperience in hospital microbiology is advantageousAbility to pass a standardized color blindness testProficiency with laboratory information systems and computersStrong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
