$8,000 Sign on Bonus (external candidates only)
Schedule
Rotating 2-week schedule:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday – 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
- Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
- Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed
- Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- In lieu of the above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits meeting CLIA standards may qualify
- Understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures
- Experience working in a high-volume laboratory environment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proficiency with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems
- High attention to detail, strong communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ months of clinical laboratory testing experience
- ASCP or AMT certification

Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours per week, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible for the 401(k) plan only.
