Clinical Laboratory Team Lead - DNA

Role Overview: The Clinical Laboratory Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations at a DNA testing laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow, staff training, and quality assurance in a clinical setting. Key Responsibilities Manage daily departmental activities and generate production reportsTrain new staff and support ongoing development of team membersAssess specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex testing proceduresOperate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and quality controlsMaintain a safe work environment, perform preventive maintenance, and document quality assurance activities Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical TechnologyMinimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory testing experiencePreferred certifications: ASCP and/or AMTLeadership or supervisory experience of 6+ months is preferredProficiency with laboratory information systems and computer skillsAbility to pass a standardized color blindness testExperience working in high-volume laboratory environments
