About the role
Clinical Laboratory Scientists sought by Sonora Community Hospital D/B/A Adventist Health Sonora to:
- Employ positive patient identification procedures to ensure the integrity of each specimen for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing.
- Perform proper specimen collection (including phlebotomy procedures, as necessary), labeling, preserving or fixating, processing or preparing, transporting, and storing.
- Adhere to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
- Prioritize lab orders according to type (STAT, ASAP, routine, and timed studies).
- Perform various testing including chemistry, coagulation, hematology, special chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, serology, immunology, bacteriology, microbiology, referral testing, and more.
Requirements
- Bachelor's (or foreign equivalent) degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or Allied Health Technologies.
Pay
Hourly Salary: $49.60 - $68.03
