Clinical Laboratory Scientist II - Cytogenetics

Job Summary

City of Hope is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our Cytogenetics Department in Irwindale. This role offers a sign-on bonus to eligible candidates and provides opportunities for teaching and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for analysis and perform a wide range of clinical laboratory procedures, from waived to high complexity.
• Execute complex laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols and schedules, ensuring timely completion.
• Review and verify results for accuracy and completeness, and notify supervisors of unusual findings.
• Conduct quality control procedures, including maintenance, calibrations, and data recording.
• Use standard laboratory equipment, prepare and label solutions, and perform data entry.
• Recognize and resolve complex technical problems, guiding and assisting others in resolution.
• Maintain compliance with competency requirements and promote quality assurance activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years as a certified or licensed clinical laboratory scientist.
• CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
