Job Summary
City of Hope is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our Cytogenetics Department in Irwindale. This role offers a sign-on bonus to eligible candidates and provides opportunities for teaching and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Prepare specimens for analysis and perform a wide range of clinical laboratory procedures, from waived to high complexity.
- Execute complex laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols and schedules, ensuring timely completion.
- Review and verify results for accuracy and completeness, and notify supervisors of unusual findings.
- Conduct quality control procedures, including maintenance, calibrations, and data recording.
- Use standard laboratory equipment, prepare and label solutions, and perform data entry.
- Recognize and resolve complex technical problems, guiding and assisting others in resolution.
- Maintain compliance with competency requirements and promote quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years as a certified or licensed clinical laboratory scientist.
- CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
