Clinical Laboratory Scientist - Full Time

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or related field
• 1-year clinical education in a clinical laboratory science program accredited by NAACLS OR MLT (ASCP) certification

Experience

• Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university
• 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of biological science (with one semester in microbiology)
• 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of chemistry (with one semester in organic or biochemistry)
• 2 years full time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and urinalysis, body fluids in the US /Canada or accredited laboratory within the last 4 years

Licensure/Certification

• MLS (ASCP) or MT (ASCP) or CLS (NCA) or registry eligible preferred
• Registry-eligible scientists must attain certification within 1 year of hire
• Scientists certified after January 1, 2004 must renew their certification every 3 years by participating in the certification maintenance program
