Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely performance of tests requested by physicians and facilities.
- Follow laboratory policies and procedures.
- Handle and process specimens according to laboratory procedures.
- Identify and correct issues affecting test performance or reporting.
- Document all corrective actions taken.
- Perform routine and complex test procedures with professional judgment.
- Calibrate instruments and assess their accuracy.
- Verify and release test results, including addressing discrepancies and errors.
- Assist in maintaining supplies and inventory levels.
- Prioritize work duties and adapt to administrative changes.
- Develop and install quality control standards.
- Solve quality control problems and implement necessary changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in medical technology, microbiology, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
- General Supervisor license issued by the State of California.
- CLIA certification for High Complexity Testing.
- Independent working ability and strong analytical judgment.
- Interpersonal skills to work with physicians, facilities, and laboratory personnel.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service orientation and self-starter attitude.
- Cognitive, interpretive, and decision-making skills.
