Clinical Lab Technologist - Neuro Immunology Lab - Contractor Only

About the role

This position is only open to individuals who currently work as a Contractor in the Neuro Immunology Lab. Responsibilities include performing analyses to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients, participating in operational support activities, and working with multiple computer systems to retrieve and report results.

Responsibilities

• Performs analyses to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients.
• Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
• Tests are performed in specialized laboratories and may include highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation.
• May work with minimal supervision and may assist with specimen collection.
• Must strictly adhere to safety protocols to work with infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards.
• Works with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.
• Works in a fast-paced and changing environment, under time constraints, and multi-tasking.
• Must be capable of producing accurate results and be able to communicate effectively with others.
• Must be able to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holiday, on-call, and weekend work assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science is required.
• Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems is desirable.
• Must be capable of producing accurate results under time constraints, multi-tasking, and performing in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Must possess good communication skills and be able to work closely with others.
• Must be able to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holiday, on-call, and weekend work assignments.

$32.43 - $48.66 / hour
