Clinical Lab Technologist (Mass Spectrometry)

Primary location: Cincinnati, OH (United States of America). Full-time, day shift, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Establish quality control procedures for ongoing validation of methods and preparation of Specific Operating Procedure (SOP) documents.
• Ensure audit-ready status of the lab at all times and comply with all institutional regulatory requirements for safety.
• Conduct laboratory compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Perform and/or assist with daily testing in the Mass Spectrometry lab.
• Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and reagents, alerting responsible parties when stock is insufficient.
• Perform routine maintenance of instrumentation and equipment, reporting discrepancies as needed.
• Adhere to quality assurance guidelines and maintain attention to detail in all laboratory activities.
• Understand and apply accrediting agency (CAP) requirements in all activities.
• Perform research, development, and other projects as directed by the laboratory manager or director.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment, inventory management, and troubleshooting erroneous results or equipment issues.
• Provide safety and quality monitoring checks and document as assigned.
• Work collaboratively with others to achieve goals, adjusting efforts to complement team members.
• Develop positive working relationships, share knowledge, and contribute to a professional work environment.
• Design and execute daily laboratory experiments in coordination with senior personnel.
• Maintain records of all laboratory work and experiments, collect and analyze data.
• Apply standard protocols, research and improve current methods, and evaluate innovative techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 0+ years of work experience in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
