Clinical Lab Supervisor - Core Lab

About the role

This position supervises activities of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and laboratory assistants in the core laboratory department.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight, data review, and manage personnel and department development within federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines.
• Supervise activities of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, and laboratory assistants in the core laboratory department.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA regulations for the Hematology and Chemistry departments.
• Manage personnel and department development within established regulatory guidelines.
• Ensure patient and staff cooperation, and provide excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Multi-task in a dynamic environment with attention to detail and business acumen.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• Four (4) years of experience in Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Services as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in a high complexity testing laboratory.
• Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the State of California.
• Board Certification from a governing body acceptable for the State of California (i.e., ASCP), preferred.
• Supervisory experience or similar leadership experience with an emphasis on developing processes, Lean/process improvement, and working in a collaborative role with lab leadership.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to ensure patient and staff cooperation, and customer service.
• Attention to detail, business acumen, and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Pay

$55.28 - $82.94 per hour
