Job Summary

About the role

Absorbs responsibility for the technical operations of the specific laboratory section. Ensures adherence to section policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manages quality, efficiency, and safety in the section, aligning with CAP standards.
• Communicates deficiencies, progress, and unusual occurrences to leadership.
• Demonstrates initiative in problem-solving and testing method accuracy.
• Reviews and corrects laboratory reports for accuracy.
• Maintains inventory and conducts cost analyses.
• Completes orientation and training within the section.
• Schedules and evaluates workload for the section.
• Delegates tasks and ensures timely completion.
• Assists with workload when necessary as a bench technologist.

Requirements

• Certification in MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), HTL(ASCP), CT(ASCP) or equivalent with at least two years of experience in the specific laboratory section.
