Clinical Lab Scientist (Per Diem, Varied)

Compensation range: $54.38 - $73.41 per hour, based on applicable experience.

About the role

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs various clinical laboratory tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. They receive or obtain specimens for laboratory analysis, and apply techniques used in fields of bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, serology, immunohematology, chemical and morphological examinations. They record laboratory test results and may be engaged in research.

Requirements

• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
• Strong general knowledge of all areas of the Clinical Laboratory
• Ability to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Awareness of chemical hygiene protocols and handling requirements for biohazard materials
• Analytical and grammatical skills to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position

Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience (desired)
• ASCP Registration as a Medical Technologist (desired)
