Vibra Hospital of Sacramento, located in Folsom, CA, is a 58-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and review various moderate to highly complex test procedures in one or more sections of the laboratory according to departmental policies and professional standards, without direct supervision.
  • Conduct testing requested by a licensed physician, requiring a degree of skill commensurate with education, training, experience, and technical abilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act and Amendments (CLIA).
  • Current, valid, and active National Board certification or eligibility for national certification as an MT or CLS (MT/ASCP or CLS/ASCP) or Categorical Certification in the related clinical laboratory discipline.

Qualifications

  • Experience preferred.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It's not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
