About the organization

CORONA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER is a 238‑bed community hospital network comprising a 160‑bed acute‑care hospital and a 78‑bed rehabilitation campus. Founded in 1965 as Corona Community Hospital, it merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 to become the current organization. The hospital is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 healthcare workers, and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing over 40 specialties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of the laboratory by performing specialized tasks involving medical laboratory testing.
• Perform and report results of tests, assuming responsibility for accuracy.
• Assist in training and orientation of new technologists.
• Direct the work of laboratory assistants and auxiliary personnel.
• Maintain working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures.
• Understand and comply with all quality control policies.
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values and support the strategic and performance‑improvement plans of Corona Regional Medical Center.

Qualifications

• Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of all areas in the laboratory (assessed during interview).
• Knowledge of laboratory computer systems preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete a color‑blindness test.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences preferred.
