Clinical Lab Scientist

Position Summary

The Clinical Lab Scientist II/III (Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist) performs a wide range of routine and complex laboratory testing to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. This role is responsible for analyzing and reporting test results, maintaining quality and regulatory standards, troubleshooting equipment and testing processes, and supporting laboratory operations across pre-analytical and analytical areas.

The Clinical Lab Scientist also assists with training staff and students, monitors quality control, and collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure exceptional laboratory service. Advanced-level staff may provide leadership support, competency assessments, validation of new testing, quality improvement initiatives, and serve as charge personnel when needed.

Pay Rate

$ 40 - 44/hr

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field required.
• Related degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or similar disciplines may be considered if accompanied by qualifying clinical laboratory coursework, internships, or clinical rotations that meet regulatory testing requirements.
• Must have EPIC experience
• ASCP certification (MLS, MT, MLT) or equivalent certification from an approved agency preferred; may be required depending on experience level.
• Clinical laboratory experience ranging from internship/clinical rotations for entry-level candidates to 2+ years of direct clinical laboratory experience for advanced candidates.
