Clinical Lab Scientist
Job Description
To receive, order, prepare, and assay laboratory samples and to perform prompt, accurate, and reliable laboratory procedures on patient specimens as well as to evaluate, interpret, and report test results to the appropriate patient care person.
Education And Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree verified by state DOE as meeting Bachelor’s degree requirements for full licensure of a clinical lab technologist required.
- Full Clinical Laboratory Technologist License upon hire required OR laboratory technologist limited permit required not necessarily prior to hire, however prior to starting. If working with limited permit, must obtain full licensure within 9 months of hire.
Experience
No patient specimens will be able to be tested or reported by the trainee until a limited or full Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Technologist) NYS license is granted and verified by the NYS DOE.
