Responsibilities

• Perform functions under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Radiologic Technologist.
• Position patients for radiographic exams.
• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and contrast medications.
• Flex to accommodate varying patient volumes.
• When working as an employee of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, the Radiology clinical intern must not make any radiation exposures in accordance with the Texas Board of Medical Radiologic Technology.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled and in good academic standing in the Amarillo College Radiography Program.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Enrolled in an accredited radiography program with an anticipated completion date as outlined by the program.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
