Clinical Intern
About the role
JRI’s Community Based Services division provides care to ensure that families and their children with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs obtain the services necessary for success in the home, school, and community.
Responsibilities
- Support the mission of JRI by conveying your passion for helping others.
- Utilize a strength-based and needs-driven approach, collaborating with clients in a team-based manner grounded in individualized services and evidence-based practices.
- Grow your clinical skills by using new interventions to support youth and families.
- Explore and strengthen your clinical knowledge through the use of evidence-based modalities.
- Enhance your documentation skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Participate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.
Qualifications
- Minimum working towards a Master's degree in social work or counseling.
- Entering your 2nd year of studies.
- Clinical interest in working with children/adolescents.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed models of treatment preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
